The reality is that online transactions are protected by consumer law just like those made in person or over the phone.

So even though they are inherently safer, they still have all the normal protections; and in a case of fraud carry all the support systems as would any credit card transaction.

Just because you're online doesn't mean that different rules and laws apply or that new ones are necessary.
